Our Mission, Vision & Strategies

Mission

• To enhance academic spirit and robustness of faculty members of Noor Research Center
• To develop relations between Noor Ophthalmology Research Center and its domestic and foreign counterparts
• To keep pace with state-of-the-art ophthalmology knowledge and ongoing contact with the world's scientific centers
• To hold academic courses for the personnel and ophthalmologists
• To upgrade PhD by Research course in collaboration with Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and train specialists in ophthalmology research

Strategy

• Development and implementation of ophthalmology research projects including clinical, epidemiologic and laboratory studies
• Presentation of research results through participation in domestic and foreign conferences, and their publication in credible domestic and foreign journals
• Setting the grounds for implementation of medical theses in general, specialty and subspecialty ophthalmology
• Participation in scientific forums and domestic and foreign courses
• Development of national and international projects to meet objectives, vision, and comprehensive scientific plan for eye health in Iran and the region

Vision

• Development of collaborations with domestic and foreign ophthalmology centers through multi-center studies. Development of interdisciplinary and joint projects, including genetics of eye diseases, prevention and treatment of refractive defects, and eye pharmacology
• Implementation of national and international visual health-promoting projects
• Collaboration with the World Health Organization and related institutions responsible for prevention and treatment of refractive errors in the Eastern Mediterranean regionDevelopment of effective refractive correction techniques and promoting visual health
